SomnoSuite® Low-Flow Anesthesia System

I use the Somnosuite and I absolutely love this system.

I love the SomnoSuite vaporizer. Using the old vaporizers we would have used a bottle (100ml) every day or two. What a huge safety benefit for our staff as well as the mice. Not to mention the savings on anesthesia.

I think I have purchased 5 different setups in the past few years. Including one PhysioSuite and 4 SomnoSuites. System is great! Saves on iso and on gas! A smaller footprint and successful surgeries, win!

We love the SomnoSuite system and use it heavily and exclusively since the acquisition. Low maintenance requirements and portability are main advantages over traditional machine in our hands.

We really like the SomnoSuite. I use it more than anyone. I like that its quiet and less exposure.

We are very satisfied with the SomnoSuite System (we have two).

We have only used the system a handful of times so far, but we really like it. The fact that we don’t need oxygen tanks makes it really mobile and easy to use in different applications whether it is procedures or hooking up to a micro computed tomography scanner for in vivo imaging. The online videos were really useful for setting up the system and once you figure it out it is very easy to use.

We actually currently use the SomnoSuite and have been very pleased with its performance.

We have 5 SomnoSuites on site, and I am beginning to familiarize myself with the units to encourage investigator use. So far I am a huge fan of the low-flow system! My previous experience was with a standard veterinary-style vaporizers, and though they work, they waste so much anesthetic and increase the risk for human exposure.

We purchased the SomnoSuite system earlier this year and have been very happy with it!

The system works great. We have about 6 different users. Happy we don't need to spend money on gas and extra iso.

I actually just purchased another unit for one of my other labs! You have a great product and my investigators are very happy with their instruments.

So far, the machine has exceeded our expectations. It is incredibly convenient to have a machine that can use ambient air during anesthesia and minimizes the effort required for its use. The starter suite is incredibly helpful for a lab like ours -- we have recently moved into a new space and needed to be self-sufficient quite quickly. I can anticipate heavy use of this machine once we begin our new animal studies.

We have been using Somnessuite for few months and we are very impressed with this unit. Less isoflurance use, easy to use and less effects on users. It is also easy to move anywhere.

We love the new machine. It does exactly what we need and we appreciate not having to have compressed 02.

We are very happy with the SomnoSuite system. It was recommended to us by a colleague here at Iowa.

We did purchase one for our facility and then one of our researchers purchased one about a month later.
We are very pleased with the system. The researcher uses the machine weekly for CT scans and is very happy with the anesthetic machine also. There are nothing but great comments from everyone who is trained to use the system.

We love the Somnosuite, I helped to get the system up and running and train all of the personnel on the Somnosuite while I was in the lab. It really changed the way we performed surgeries.

I LOVE the SomnoSuite! It is particularly useful for mice anesthesia during hemorrhage studies, when adjustment of isoflurane inhalation level is needed to prevent hemodynamic collapse. I believe this represents a significant refinement for rodent inhalation anesthesia (especially for mice) while providing enhanced engineering level protection for animal care users providing inhalation anesthesia.

The system works well and we like it. Perhaps we will get a bigger syringe so it can be used for longer in inductions without having to refill.

We like the SomnoSuite a lot! Easy to handle and no calibration needed and it used less isoflurane than traditional anesthetizers.

We like our system very much; we have no complaints.

We have not had a chance to use our equipment yet. We've used the somno suite in someone else's lab though and love it!

It’s great. The main limitation is the syringe – the isoflurane does not last very long. Have to change it very often. To be clear, the time that the isoflurane lasts depends on the chamber size and other factors.
