The GHS-550 group of Hotplates, Magnetic Stirrers and Magnetic Stirrer Hotplates offer safety and precision for laboratory heating and mixing applications. The compact and low-profile design saves valuable benchtop space and a 7-inch chemical resistant glass ceramic working surface ensure years of service and easy cleanup.

Setting the heat and stirring speed is extremely intuitive with an LED display and control knobs, inputting to a microprocessor-controlled circuit for accurate, stable control of heating and stirring.

The GHS-550HSP model replaces the LED with an LCD display for precise monitoring of speed and temperature. This hot plate magnetic stirrer also includes a built-in PID temperature control heating with overheating protection. A RS232 port offers remote function for communication, PC control and data transmission (software not included).

The Magnetic Stirrer and Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer are designed to provide a strong magnetic coupling for powerful mixing that is enabled by the maintenance free brushless DC motor. The stirrers can mix up to 10 liters of water (GHS-550HS, GHS-550S) or 20 liters of water (GHS-550HSP), which allows for excellent homogeneity of your solution.

The Hotplate and Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer models are designed with a powerful 1000-watt heater that provides temperatures up to 550°C. To gain even more accurate temperature control within 0.2°C, an optional PT1000 sensor and retort stand are available to measure directly in the vessel. A “hot” warning will flash if the work plate temperature is above 50°C. Overtemperature protection is included should temperatures reach 580°C.

Simple, intuitive operation
Maintenance-free brushless DC motor
Small footprint saves valuable bench space
Powerful 1000W heater
Easy-to-clean glass ceramic surface
Easy-to-read LCD or LED display for simple, clear control
Powerful magnetic coupling for stirring up to 20L
Optional external temperature sensor control

The new SureTemp™ Incubator series provides the highest level of temperature control with uniformity and stability levels that are unmatched by competitive models in the same class.

Each incubator is equipped with the SureCheck™ data logging system for verification of chamber temperature. The SureCheck system records temperature data points as often as every 60 seconds and stores this information on a flash drive. The data can then be viewed on any computer capable of reading a .csv file from the flash drive. The recorded data can also be used to plot temperature points on a graph and for analysis of temperature fluctuation over time.

Unlike other laboratory incubators, the SureTemp series offers “Dual-Convection” technology, allowing users to choose between mechanical convection mode* (for exceptional temperature uniformity) or gravity convection mode* (for longer incubations where airborn contamination or drying of samples may be an issue). The heating elements are strategically located on multiple sides of the chamber and contents can be viewed with the separate inner glass door without disrupting the temperature environment.

* Mechanical Convection: Incorporates optimally positioned heating elements in conjunction with an internal chamber fan to control the internal temperatue.
Gravity Convection: Eliminates any airflow from the chamber, relying solely on the heating elements and gravity to control the internal temperature.

SureTemp™ Digital Ovens provide up to 200°C with both accuracy and precision using digital control, eliminating the need for external thermometers and repetitive “fine tuning” of an analog control knob.

Our ovens are suitable for agricultural and industrial applications to heat, dry, sterilize and even bake. Simply set the desired temperature and time and the oven will quickly reach the desired temperature using gravity convection for the set time while accurately monitoring the chamber temperature. Continuous mode is also available for longer applications. PID control provides automatic compensation after load changes or door opening for excellent accuracy.

The SureTemp™ digital ovens feature double wall construction, 6 sided fiberglass insulation, sealed doors, stainless steel chamber, in-lab calibration, and a large viewing window for live monitoring of the chamber.

Benchmark offers three sizes: 30L, 50L , and 150L.

With stability as low as +/- 0.5°C, our SureTemp™ Digital Ovens provide accurate, stable results to ensure your application is done correctly.
