How to Measure Mouse Blood Pressure Using Tail-cuff Method, Noninvasive Blood Pressure Measurement

This video shows how to measure mouse blood pressure using the volume-pressure recording (VPR), tail-cuff method. The CODA System by Kent Scientific is a computerized, noninvasive tail-cuff blood pressure measurement system that can quickly perform single or multiple blood pressure measurements without operator intervention. The 2008 validation study, published in the American Journal of Hypertension , "concludes that the VPR tail-cuff method provides accurate blood pressure measurements over the physiological range of blood pressure in mice."
