North American 3Rs Collaborative

Kent Scientific is proud to support the North American 3Rs Collaborative (NA3RsC), a nonprofit organization that advocates for the “3 Rs” in animal research and whose mission is to advance science, innovation, and the welfare of research animals.

NA3RsC facilitates partnerships between academics, pharmaceutical companies, vendors, technology providers, contract research organizations, government organizations, regulatory agents, and other non-profits to refine, reduce, and replace animals in research.

As members of the research community, Kent Scientific Corp. financially supports NA3RsC‘s mission to educate people regarding issues of animal research.

 

Rene Remie Surgical Skills Centre (RRSSC)

Kent Scientific provides state-of-the-art equipment and technical support for the surgical workshops offered by the Rene Remie Surgical Skills Centre, which provides teaching, training, and hands-on practical experience to scientists and technicians in the animal research field. BRAD

Kent Scientific Corporation is proud to sponsor Biomedical Research Awareness Day!

Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD) is an international outreach program through Americans for Medical Progress that seeks to increase public awareness about animal roles in biomedical research and the resulting medical advancements that benefit both humans and animals. BRAD highlights the importance of animal studies and demonstrates research organizations’ commitment to providing excellent animal care. It also builds a research advocate community and showcases biomedical research and laboratory animal care and medicine careers. Since the first annual celebration at 20 veterinary schools in 2016, BRAD has been celebrated at 571 different sites around the world including medical, dental, and undergraduate schools, K-12, pharmaceutical companies, contract research organizations, and more. Each institution participating in BRAD receives individual planning assistance and a BRAD box of educational materials, posters, handouts, giveaways and more to use at their BRAD event. BRAD is a flexible program that can be made to fit any and all situations with the common goal of education and support for animal research.
