The Sarstedt S-Monovette® is an enclosed multiple-sampling blood collection system that collects blood using either an aspiration or vacuum principle of collection. The aspiration method of collection virtually eliminates syringe draws and requires no sample transfer. All tubes are plastic with screw caps, which minimizes the risk of breakage and aerosol formation when caps are removed.
Sarstedt’s Safety Needle is designed specifically to work with the S-Monovette blood collection system, utilizing an integral needle protector and three-pin locking mechanism. Also available is the Safety-Multifly® winged blood collection set with a translucent needle protector for one-handed activation immediately after use.
The S-Monovette Multi-Adapter, available in Luer and Luer-Lock version, allows the S-Monovette to be used with Luer systems (e.g. catheters, blood collection sets, etc.).
